LG Dishwasher Repair Across Washington — (253) 549-3002
LG dishwashers (LDF, LDS, and LDPS series) are popular in Washington's newer homes and remodels — quiet, good-looking, and solid cleaners. When they fail, they tell you in two-letter codes: IE, OE, AE. We read LG's language and fix the root cause, not the code.
IE — inlet error. The dishwasher isn't filling properly. Usually the inlet valve screen is clogged with sediment (water across much of Washington State carries enough mineral content to do this) or the valve itself failed. We clean or replace the valve and check water pressure.
OE — drain error. Same family as every brand's drain failure — filter, hose, or pump. LG's OE is particularly common after garbage disposal installs where the knockout plug wasn't removed. We see this monthly.
AE — leak error. Water in the base pan. LG's leak sensor is sensitive — even a slow sump seep trips it. We find the seep.
Not drying. LG's drying relies on the heating element and rinse aid working together. Failed element = wet dishes and a musty smell. Straightforward repair.
Control panel issues. The touch controls on LGs can go intermittent with age — buttons that need three presses, or a display that flickers. Panel or board, diagnosed properly.

Repair or Replace?
Repair or Replace Your LG?
Here's the rule we use: if the repair costs less than 50% of a new dishwasher's price — and the machine is under 8–10 years old with a solid tub and racks — repair is almost always the smart money. Inlet valves, drain fixes, and elements on LGs pass the test easily. On the fence? Read our honest repair-vs-replace guide (the 50% rule explained), or call (253) 549-3002 and we'll give you the honest math before you spend a dollar.
