Samsung Dishwasher Repair Across Washington — (253) 549-3002
Samsung dishwashers (DW80 series and similar) look great and clean well — but their electronics are fragile. The call we get weekly: "the Normal and Heavy lights are blinking and it won't do anything." That's the Samsung control-board communication failure, and it's repairable.
Blinking Normal/Heavy/Quick lights. The infamous Samsung blink. It means the control board lost communication with the touchpad or a sensor. Sometimes a hard reset clears it; when it doesn't, it's the board or the UI panel — we diagnose which.
LC / LE leak code. Samsung's leak detection — water in the base, same family as Bosch E15. We trace the actual leak (usually a sump gasket or hose) instead of just drying the sensor.
Won't drain / OC code. Drain pump or the check valve. Samsung pumps are a known wear item around year 4–6.
Not cleaning. Samsung's "StormWash" models have a rotating spray bar that jams with debris. We service it rather than replacing the whole assembly when possible.
Control board failures. Samsung boards are sensitive to power fluctuations. We test the board properly — and we'll tell you honestly when a board costs more than the machine is worth.

Repair or Replace?
Repair or Replace Your Samsung?
Here's the rule we use: if the repair costs less than 50% of a new dishwasher's price — and the machine is under 8–10 years old with a solid tub and racks — repair is almost always the smart money. Pumps and seals on Samsungs pass the test easily; control boards on 6+ year-old units are where we'll give you the honest math. Read our honest repair-vs-replace guide (the 50% rule explained), or call (253) 549-3002 before you spend a dollar.
My Samsung dishwasher lights are blinking — is it dead?
Not necessarily. Try a hard reset (breaker off, 5 minutes). If the blinking returns, it's the control board or UI panel — both repairable.
Are Samsung dishwashers worth repairing?
It depends on age and which part failed. Pumps and seals: yes. Control boards on 6+ year-old units: we'll give you the honest math before you spend a dollar.
