A One's Bosch Dishwasher Specialists — (253) 549-3002
Bosch makes the quietest, best-cleaning dishwashers on the market — and the most cryptic ones when they break. Instead of plain-English symptoms, you get an E-code and a dead machine. Our techs speak Bosch fluently: we diagnose E-codes to the component level, carry genuine Bosch parts on the truck, and fix most Bosch dishwashers in a single visit anywhere in Washington State.
E15 — water in the base. The #1 Bosch call. The leak sensor in the base pan tripped, which means water got where it shouldn't — usually a sump seal, a loose hose clamp, or a cracked inlet hose. Tilting the unit drains the tray and clears the code temporarily, but the leak comes back until the source is fixed. We find and fix the actual leak. (See our Bosch error codes guide for the full decoder.)
E24 / E25 — drain failures. E24 means the dishwasher can't drain (clogged filter, kinked drain hose, blocked garbage-disposal connection). E25 means the drain pump itself is jammed — often a piece of glass or a seed stuck in the impeller. We clear the pump and verify the full drain path.
E09 — heating fault. Dishes come out wet and the sanitize cycle never finishes. The heating circuit (heat pump assembly on most Bosch models) has failed. This one needs a part — we stock genuine Bosch heat pump assemblies.
Rack rust and tine damage. Bosch racks are coated, not stainless — once the coating chips (usually from heavy pots), rust spreads and stains everything. We replace individual racks rather than the whole machine.
Control panel / touchpad failures. The sleek touch controls are a known weak point on 5+ year-old units. If buttons are dead or the unit starts by itself, it's the panel or the control module — both repairable.
Bosch's Most Common Failures — At a Glance
E15 — Water in the Base
The #1 Bosch call. The leak sensor in the base pan tripped — water got where it shouldn't, usually a sump seal, a loose hose clamp, or a cracked inlet hose.
The fix: We find and fix the actual leak source — tilting the unit only clears the code temporarily.
E24 / E25 — Drain Failures
E24 means it can't drain (clogged filter, kinked hose, blocked disposal connection). E25 means the drain pump is jammed — often glass or a seed in the impeller.
The fix: We clear the pump and verify the full drain path before it burns out the pump.
E09 — Heating Fault
Dishes come out wet and the sanitize cycle never finishes. The heating circuit (heat pump assembly on most Bosch models) has failed.
The fix: We stock genuine Bosch heat pump assemblies for same-visit installation.
Dead Touch Controls
The sleek touch controls are a known weak point on 5+ year-old units — dead buttons, or the unit starting cycles on its own.
The fix: Panel or control module replacement; both are repairable.

What it means
What to do
E15
Water detected in the base pan — leak sensor tripped
Don't just reset it; the code returns until the leak source (sump seal, hose clamp, inlet hose) is fixed. Call us to trace the leak.
Check and clean the filter and hose; if E24 persists, the drain path needs professional clearing.
E25
Drain pump jammed — debris (often glass or a seed) in the impeller
The pump needs clearing — running it jammed can burn it out. Call us.
E09
Heating circuit fault — heat pump assembly failed
Part replacement required; we stock genuine Bosch heat pump assemblies.

Repair or Replace?
Repair or Replace Your Bosch?
Here's the rule we use: if the repair costs less than 50% of a new dishwasher's price — and the machine is under 8–10 years old with a solid tub and racks — repair is almost always the smart money. Bosch tubs and motors routinely run 10–12 years, so most Bosch repairs fall well under that line. On the fence? Read our honest repair-vs-replace guide (the 50% rule explained), or call (253) 549-3002 and we'll give you the honest math before you spend a dollar.
You can clear it by tilting the unit to drain the base tray, but the code returns because the underlying leak is still there. Call us to fix the source.
Is a 7-year-old Bosch worth repairing?
Almost always yes. Bosch tubs and motors routinely run 10–12 years. A $200–$350 repair on a $900+ machine is simple math.
Do you use genuine Bosch parts?
Yes — OEM pumps, heaters, racks, and control modules. Aftermarket Bosch parts have a miserable track record and we won't install them.
